Construction Phase II

Week six starts with the addition of a nice Cheever sign in the front yard - we're proud of the work Cheever is doing on our beautiful chapter house, and hopefully all alumni are too:

In the kitchen, the dividing walls between the pantry, storage, and kitchenette areas have come down to make room for the new expanded kitchen:

Week five begins with more progress clearing out the basement space, as well as installing new plumbing in the floors for the mechanical spaces:

As week four begins, electrical conduit work is almost complete:

Inside, asbestos removal of the pledge wing ceilings is finished:

On third floor, the bathroom is almost finished being demolished:

Week three begins with installation of electrical conduit in the back lot to provide new electrical service:

The old boiler system is also in process of begin removed, with liberal use of the cutting torch to create manageable pieces:

As week two begins, radiator removal is well under way.  I'm just glad I don't have to move those at all:

In the basement, ceiling removal is beginning:

With move-out of the chapter house completed on Monday, December 17th, Cheever was officially handed the keys for Phase II.  From the outside it doesn't look like much has happened in a week, but progress is definitely moving along.
